Spot and Stain Removal
Many stains can only be removed by a deep cleaning process used by a professional carpet and upholstery cleaning
service, but here is a tip for spot and stain removal to try first.
The general rule of thumb is to clean it with mild soap and water. If you have our patented spotter solution use
that, otherwise the dish soap at your sink will work fine.
Fill the sink to a depth of about 3 to 4 inches. Add 2 to 4 drops of spotter solution or soap and mix well. Take
a clean cloth and thoroughly soak it in the liquid. Wring it out to until it is still wet, but not dripping. Blot
the stain thoroughly. Do not rub! You can stand on it if you have to get enough leverage. Repeat this step if
necessary.
If the stain has gone rinse the cloth out really well. Then blot the spot again until you are sure all the
residue is out of the carpet.
Take a dry cloth and apply it to the wet area and step on it till the carpet is just moist to the
touch.
If for any reason you can not get the spot out call us and we will walk you through the process. If you can
still not get it out it is time to make a appointment.
! WARNINGS !
Do not use a hand brush on the carpet! This will damage the carpet beyond repair.
Do not use Resolve or any other type of household cleaner. They can set the stain and it may not come out!
Do not use solvent-based cleaners on your carpet unless you are sure of what you are doing!
Do not use bleach to get a stain out. It will remove the color of the carpet.
